Shipping Policy

  • Free shipping within New Zealand  via economy tracked postage.

  • Items will be posted within 1-2 days following payment. They should arrive within 5 working day within NZ; within 2 weeks to Australia and within 3 -4 weeks worldwide. 

  • Shipping to rest of world is at a flat fee of $30NZ

  • All sales are in NZ$

  • No responsibility can be taken for delays in postage not in our control.

  • All taxes payable on entry of goods to a country are the responsibility and liability of the purchaser. Taxes vary country to country, so please ensure you know what duty might be payable before ordering.

Return & Exchange Policy

As a small business, I am proud of what I create and do my best to make good quality clothing which you can wear for years. If you have any concerns please make contact with FL and we will do our best to make things right.

Please note the following conditions apply:

  • Our return policy is only valid for 3 weeks from date of purchase.  If 21 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

  • Most FL garments are one-off designs, so it is not possible to replace them. 

  • If the garment is faulty, FL will repair or refund if necessary(including shipping) as per the Consumer Guarantees Act. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and unlaundered,  and in the same condition that you received it.  It must have its original swing tags attached and you need to make contact within 3 weeks. Please note that with vintage linen there will be areas of wear that are part of its quirkiness. If there is a serious flaw in the fabric then the above applies.

  • To complete your return, FL requires a receipt or proof of purchase.

  • Please email Liz at then, post your item to Flaxen Linen, 143 Barrington Street, Somerfield, Christchurch, New Zealand 8024 using a trace-and-trace method(at your expense).

  • After the repair is complete, FL will send the item at our expense. Flaxen Linen will take no responsibility for items lost in the returning process.

  • If you require a refund then a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment as soon as is possible. 

  • All transactions are in NZ dollars; GST is included.

  • Custom orders: any items created specifically for a customer will not be exchanged or refunded. Please take this in consideration when making your order.
